I am a freelance writer, editor, copy proofer, author and poet.

Welcome to my website. Here’s some background on my creative and professional life. My first love is poetry and my work has been published in a number of Australian anthologies as well as four books of my own poetry. I am a member of Wordsmiths of Melbourne, Nandina Poets and Society of Women Writers Victoria.

Other writing has included a novel, libretto for a choral work and picture books for children. I also have extensive experience in writing for parents and educators, especially in areas of parenting and child development. I am the editor of a number of popular books on parenting and child development as well as blog writing and feature articles for parenting professionals and magazines.

Other writing includes a number of youth plays, short stories and poetry for children.

For many years my hobby was community radio, so I also enjoy compering.

A big part of my current publishing is through Tales from the Treehouse. Tales from the Treehouse is an all Australian publishing name created in 2015, offering books that retell old stories or provide insights into new ones. Within the words, these books contain messages of humour, whimsy, truth, respect, hope and imagination. They are packed full of quirky characters, extravagant colour and sensitive pencil illustrations. Tales from the Treehouse books are especially designed for astute adults, creative kids, responsive oldies, significant others, and anyone else who just likes to be read to.

I am also part of the recently created Melbourne Writers’ Hub. The hub is a group of professional writers and book designers with a passion for seeing quality prose in print. The hub provides writing, editing, graphic, proofreading and mentoring services to aspiring poets and authors.
